Heidi started out as a competitive gymnast and swimmer. Upon graduating from the University of Washington, Heidi worked for a technology company in Seattle and Miami. Ready for something more meaningful, Heidi decided to pursue a career as a Pilates instructor. She had been practicing Pilates for a few years and loved what it did for her body. Her posture dramatically improved and she built long, lean, flexible muscles. She was finally free from lower back and neck pain stemming from scoliosis and a neck injury suffered from gymnastics.
Heidi pursued her certification at Metropolitan Pilates under acclaimed master teacher Dorothee VandeWalle. Heidi is skilled at working with clients of all fitness levels and can modify sessions for specific needs or injuries. Heidi's goal for her clients is for them to gain confidence, improve the look and feel of their bodies and to live pain free.
Heidi is also a certified nutritional therapist through the Nutritional Therapy Association and in 2016 she received her 200 hour yoga teacher certification from Spira Power Yoga in West Seattle. Heidi brings over 14 years of Pilates experience to her yoga classes and teaches yoga with a Pilates mindset focusing on proper form and alignment and the use of core muscles to support poses.
